Training Sessions, Courses and Conferences I Have Delivered
Prof. Dr. Giray Ersöz shares his knowledge and experience in his field of expertise with his colleagues by serving as an instructor and speaker in various training sessions, courses and conferences.
Upon the kind invitation of my esteemed colleagues Dr. Ajla Pedro and Dr. Aida Pedro, I had the opportunity to share my experience with colleagues at the OCT & OCT Angio School 2026 held in Sarajevo.
In my presentation, I discussed current approaches to the pachychoroid spectrum, central serous chorioretinopathy, photodynamic therapy and vitreoretinal surgery.
I also presented videos of three challenging surgical cases from my own archive:
- X-large macular hole
- Advanced tractional retinal detachment
- Highly adherent epiretinal membrane
I would like to sincerely thank the organizing committee and everyone who contributed to this valuable event, where scientific exchange and the sharing of experience were at the forefront.

I was an invited speaker at the 7th Medical Retina Days organized by the Turkish Ophthalmology Association, where I gave presentations on micronutrition (vitamin and antioxidant supplements) and artificial intelligence applications in age-related macular degeneration.
It was a pleasure to be in Belgrade with inspiring colleagues, sharing insights on micronutrition in AMD.
I was honored to be a speaker at this meaningful event, and we also had the chance to enjoy the vibrant spirit of Serbia’s beautiful capital.

I shared my knowledge with my colleagues as a speaker at the session on Approaches to Challenging Vitreoretinal Surgery Cases at the TOD National Congress. I explained the critical points in two challenging vitrectomy (vitreoretinal surgery) cases I performed to my ophthalmologist colleagues.
At the 59th National Congress sponsored by the Turkish Ophthalmology Association, I gave talks on “Approach to Difficult Cases in Vitreoretinal Surgery,” “Central Serous Chorioretinopathy,” and “Mysterious Cases” at the FFA Club. This year’s congress held another special significance for me. I was honored by the Turkish Ophthalmology Association to present at this year’s SOE conference.
Such a pleasure to be in Sarajevo with amazing colleagues, sharing thoughts on micronutrition in AMD. I was honored to be a speaker at this event, and we also had the chance to explore the beautiful city of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Great science, great people, and unforgettable memories!
