In 1984, I was born in Kütahya. At Kütahya High School and Eskişehir Science High School, I finished my high school education. I then began my specialization training in April 2010 as the first of 12000 doctors to pass the Medical Specialization Examination (TUS), following my successful completion of the Ankara University Faculty of Medicine. I chose the Izmir Tepecik Training and Research Hospital, which has the most surgical cases in the Aegean, for my specialization training, and I finished my ophthalmology training there between 2010 and 2015.
Following the successful completion of my state service at Mardin Kızıltepe State Hospital, I applied to the prestigious Istanbul Retina Institute. Out of a competitive pool of 250 ophthalmologists, I was honored to be selected to participate in the “Retina – Macula – Vitreous Diseases & Surgery Clinical Researcher” program. From 2016 to 2018, I served as a dedicated Clinical Researcher at the institute. Building upon this valuable experience, my journey continued within the same institute from 2018 to 2020, where I transitioned into the role of a specialist in retinal diseases.
Starting in February 2021, I have assumed the role of the Head of the Retina Unit at Biruni University Hospital’s Eye Clinic.
